9 June 2008 - 1:50Last Time I Eat at Montana’s

So very recently my girlfriend and I headed to what was supposed to be a nice supper. We decided to hit Montana’s as she has never been.

When we got there, we were told there was a 10 to 15 minute wait. We decided to wait, and true to their word we were called in about 10 minutes.

When we sat down we ordered our drinks and looked through the menu. All was going well at this point, we both chose appetizers and our main course, when the waitress came back to take our order.

At this point things went down hill rather fast, or slow I guess I should say. The table next to us were having an intimate conversation that I found extremely stimulating. Yams, they were talking about yams! Who has in depth conversations about a vegtable?

And that is how it went for the next hour. Until finally, what I can only assume was some manager or something comes up to us and tells us that my appetizer was currently being eaten at another table. She said they were making me a new one and would have it ready in about another 5 minutes.

To compensate us for this wait and screw up, they were going to take it off the bill. Before my appetizer even showed up, our main course arrived. We began eating but mine was awful, and I just couldn’t believe that it was as bad as it was. I can only assume the “beef” from which it was made came in a box that said “just add water”. Lord knows the potatoes did!

About 10 minutes into my meal my missing appetizer finally arrived, it was cold and wasn’t very good at all. One would think if they just made it 5 minutes ago it would still be hot. To be honest I suspect they took left overs from other tables and put them together for me.

In conclusion, I am done with Montana’s. I do not like their food, the service was awful, and making us wait as long as we did for some of the worst food I have eaten is absolutely unacceptable.
